2019 President’s Award

The 2019 President’s Award was presented to Bill Baab who served as Southern Region editor for the FOHBC from 1996 to 2011. He was inducted into the FOHBC Hall of Fame in 2011. He continues to be a consistent staple of the Bottles and Extras staff as a writer and proofreader. This year, he poured his heart into press releases and media coverage promoting the FOHBC 50th Anniversary Convention.

Lifetime Achievement Award

A special Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Sheldon Baugh from Matt Lacy and the FOHBC Board of Directors. Sheldon has held multiple positions on the FOHBC Board of Directors for 30 consecutive years including President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Director at Large, Midwest Director and Merchandise Director. He is a Lifetime Member of the FOHBC and has attended every FOHBC National Convention since 1976. He also Co-Chaired the 2014 FOHBC National Convention in Lexington, Kentucky.

President’s Award

The President’s Award was given to John Joiner (Newnan, Georgia) for his personality, work ethic and love for the hobby. John stepped in with Jack Hewitt to be the Show Chair for last years FOHBC 2015 Chattanooga National Antique Bottle Show which by all accounts was a grand success. Choo-Choo to Chattanooga was the theme and John was certainlly the engineer and conductor behind this show that will be remembered for many years to come.
