01|18|24: Texas Sweet ad released. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is a light, sweet crude oil that serves as one of the main global oil benchmarks. 01|02|24: The Houston 24 exhibit and book for the American Antique Glass Masterpieces – A major museum exhibition showcasing the Sandor P. Fuss Collection are progressing nicely. This updated marketing piece above, focusing on the Historical Flask component will be shared nationally in print, web, and social media (and will replace the previous one).

01|01|24: As you know, our host hotel for Houston 24 is Hotel ZaZa Museum District. I wondered if somebody simply made up the name, or was it a reference to Zsa Zsa Gabor, the Hungarian-American socialite and actress, or does it recall “Zaza,” the 1923 American silent romantic drama film starring Gloria Swanson? The charming historic Hotel ZaZa is quickly selling out of rooms, so make your reservations now! You can find hotel booking info in our Hou24 Event Info Packet (page 14). Make sure you check out the amazing collection of art displayed in public areas and rooms.

01|01|24: The Houston 24 exhibit and book for the American Antique Glass Masterpieces – A major museum exhibition showcasing the Sandor P. Fuss Collection are progressing nicely. Sandor Fuss and his son Jackson will set up the exhibition in the Brown Gallery in the Houston Museum of Natural Science, our host for Houston 24. Ferdinand Meyer V is designing the 300-page hard-bound museum book, and Jeff Noordsy is assisting with the writeups and foreword. Jeff Scovil did the photography. These are undoubtedly the most outstanding examples of early American glass, historical flasks, bitters, and figural bottles ever assembled for display. We even have a few guest stars making appearances. This updated marketing piece above will be shared nationally in print, web, and social media (and will replace the previous one).

12|30|23: The Houston 24 exhibit and book for the David P. Wilber and Anthony Gugliotti Barber Bottle Collections Exhibition are progressing nicely. Did you know that none other than Ed & Kathy Gray curated the collection and selected the examples from the collection? They did this from their home in Pennsylvania after the museum delivered the collection (and then sent it back to Houston). I have to say, this is quite an amazing group of barber bottles and glass accessories that will be displayed at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, our host for Houston 24. The best of well over a thousand examples from both collections will be displayed and represented in the museum’s hard-bound book we are designing for the event and the FOHBC. This new marketing piece will be shared nationally in print, web, and social media (and will replace the previous one).

12|28|23: [Ferdinand Meyer V] For most of my years in Houston (since 1983), I either lived or worked Downtown, or both. I always thought of  it as OZ or Emerald City because of its architecture and magic. Our big secret is that we are located off the Gulf of Mexico, and temperatures are acceptable in the shade in the summer. We also have the best air conditioning possible! Many people in offices and stores and our three airports wear sweaters! Houston is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Texas and in the Southern United States. It is the fourth-most populous city in the United States after New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and the seventh-most populated city in North America. Houston has the fifth-tallest skyline in North America (after New York City, Chicago, Toronto and Miami). A seven-mile system of tunnels and skywalks links Downtown buildings containing shops and restaurants, enabling pedestrians to avoid summer heat and rain while walking between buildings. This is amazing; the Houston Theater District, Downtown, is home to nine major performing arts organizations and six performance halls. It has the second-largest concentration of theater seats in a downtown area in the United States. While in Houston for the HOU24 EVENT, take the light rail (next to Hotel ZaZa and HMNS) to the Central Business District and check it out. Minute Maid Park (Astros baseball), Toyota Center (Rockets basketball), and Shell Energy Stadium (Dynamo and Dash soccer), among many smaller venues, are also Downtown.
