Eric McGuireFOHBC Western Region Director, is a California native who has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of his life. He attended local schools and completed his formal education at San Francisco State University (MA 1973). Eric entered the field of environmental planning and retired from a 30-year career in domestic water supply in 2008. He began his bottle collecting interest in 1960, and along with digging, and otherwise acquiring bottles, Eric has always been an avid student of all aspects of glassmaking as well as a researcher of the history of the people who produced the bottles. Beginning in the mid-1960′s his name can be found on many articles relating to bottles and glass. Eric’s primary interest has been focused on the geographical area of the Western U.S. He is a life member of the FOHBC, and lives in Petaluma, CA, with his wife, Lisa.

The primary purpose of the Antique Bottle Collectors of Colorado (ABCC) is to establish an association of club members who wish to explore, educate, publish and promote the collecting of historical Colorado bottles and collectibles and other forms of Americana. The ABCC was established in 1965 and is a Charter Member of the Federation of Historical Bottle Clubs. The ABCC is a non-profit organization. Membership dues to the ABCC are $30 per family with requested paper copy of our newsletter, and $20 per family with email only newsletter (PDF format). Both memberships are payable annually by calendar year. ABCC meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month – 7:00 PM (except June, July, Aug. & Dec.) at the VFW Hall – Post 322, 3800 South Windermere Street. Englewood, CO. San Diego Antique Bottle And Collectibles Club, San Diego, Started in 1965 in Julian California, the San Diego Antique Bottle & Collectibles Club is the oldest continuously meeting bottle & collectibles club in the world. They meet at the San Diego County Office of Education, 6401 Linda Vista Road which is located between the University of San Diego & Francis Parker High School, on the South side of Linda Vista Road overlooking Mission Valley. Their meetings usually start sometime around 6:30 pm and end sometime around 9:30 pm. Their programs are very informative and combined with raffles, 50/50 drawings, and snacks, a good time is had by all. Their members are very friendly and knowledgeable. Guests are welcome!
