James A. Rogers, 93, of Manchester passed away on May 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. James was born on Nov. 15, 1920, in Manchester, son of the late Raymond L. and Edith M. ( Holland) Rogers. James proudly served his country as a career Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He later retired as a HUD loan officer.

James was an expert fly-fisherman and was an avid outdoorsman. Late member of The Merrimack Valley Antique Bottle Club and he was a beloved friend to many in the antique bottle collecting world, with over 50 years of experience and expertise in the industry. James was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1938.

Beloved husband for over 69 years to Joyce A. (Collier) Rogers, loving father of Jay A. Rogers and his wife Darlene of Manchester, dear brother of Doris Colman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

SERVICES: A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 21, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. (corner of Union Street) Manchester. INFO
